Coffee Exporting

Ethiopians own a longstanding tradition of coffee. Ethiopia is the source and origin of Coffee Arabica. Coffee grows in various parts of the country which in return has made the country to get 3% share of the global coffee market.

Ethiopia is Africa’s top coffee producer exporting to major markets like the EU and North America.

Romina with this regard has carefully studied and established itself in a way that an ideal well organized coffee exporter must be established so that high quality coffee is imaged with the name ROMINA.

We are established five years ago as a washed and sun dried coffee beans exporter. We export all varieties of Ethiopian coffee.

Romina coffee is an integrated coffee plantation company in Ethiopia. Romina coffee has a hand in every aspect of the coffee making process, with business activities ranging from growing and drying of coffee to the manufacture and marketing of value-added coffee products.

Sidamo Coffee

“Ethiopia Sidamo” is a type of Arabica coffee of single origin grown exclusively in the Sidamo  Province  of  Ethiopia.  The most  distinctive  flavor  notes found in all Sidamo coffees are lemon and   citrus   with   bright   crisp     acidity.

Harar

“Ethiopian Harar” is a  coffee  bean  of  the species Arabica that is grown in the region of Harar in the Eastern highlands of Ethiopia. It is one of the oldest coffee beans still produced and is known for its distinctive fruity, wine flavor. The bean is medium in size with a greenish-yellowish color. It has medium acidity and full body and  a  distinctive  mocha  flavor.  Harar  is a dry processed coffee bean with sorting and processing done almost entirely by hand. Though processing is done by hand, the laborers are extremely knowledgeable of how each bean is categorized.

Harar beans can be divided into three categories Longberry, Shortberry, and Mocha. Longberry varieties consist of the largest beans and are often considered of the highest quality in both value and flavor. In some cases this is true but more often than not it’s just a marketing pitch. Shortberry varieties are smaller than the Longberry  beans   but,   are   considered a high grade bean in Eastern Ethiopia where it originates. Also the Mocha variety is a highly prized commodity. Mocha Harars are known for their Peaberry beans that often have complex chocolate, spice and citrus notes.

Limu Coffee

Limu is a high-quality wet-processed (washed) Ethiopian coffee that exhibits  a relatively low acidity yet is somewhat sharp. The brewed cup is distinguished by its well-balanced body (mouth feel) and noticeable winey and spicy flavors, often fruit-toned, pleasantly sweet and vibrant with floral overtones.

Limu coffee is grown at elevations ranging from 3,600 to 6,200 feet in southwest/south central Ethiopia producing medium-sized coffee beans with a distinctive roundish shape and green color. Limu is a market name.

Jimma Coffee

An excellent, low-acid Ethiopian coffee when it is wet-processed (washed). When Jimma is dry processed (natural; unwashed), however, it is known to impart a generally undesirable medicinal flavor.

Jimma Coffee is grown in the Illubabor and Kaffa regions of Ethiopia at elevations from 4,400 to 6,000 feet above sea level within the biggest catchment area in Ethiopia, an area that produces and exports about 60,000 tons of coffee each year.  Jimma is also called Jimma   Coffee.

Lekempt (Ghimbi) Coffee

Grown in the Ghimbi and Wollega regions of Ethiopia at elevations between 4,900 feet and 5,900 feet above sea level, Lekempti coffee is known for its pleasant acidity and healthy body reminiscent of Ethiopian Harrar Longberry coffee.Ethiopian Lekempti Coffee also

Ethiopian Lekempti Coffee also exhibits a    slight    yet    distinct    fruity     flavor.

Yirgachefe Coffee

Known for its sweet flavour and aroma with a light to medium body, Ethiopian Yirgacheffes are spicy and fragrant.

Yirgacheffe coffee is a wet processing (washed) coffee grown at elevations from 5,800 feet to 6,600 feet above sea level, and is the most distinguished coffee grown in Southern Ethiopia, a region known for its fine coffees.

A fine Ethiopian Yirgacheffee coffee displays a bright acidity along with intense, clean tastes and a complexity of floral notes in the aroma, sometimes with a hint of toasted coconut. The aftertaste is vibrant, and the coffee may exhibit undertones of berry or wine.

Yirgacheffe coffee is generally milder than Ghimbi coffee and also more aromatic and fruity, sometimes exhibiting a lemony tart twist. In contrast to the Jimma and wild Ethiopian Harrars, the Yirgacheffes are high-toned, floral and citrusy.

The town of Yirgacheffe (Irgachefe) is in Ethiopia’s Sidamo area at an elevation of about 1,900 meters above sea level and is the administrative center of the coffees- growing district.

Imports

Due to the impressive economic growth of the country, we are now engaged in the import business as well. We are very much convinced that the government of Ethiopia is strategically working on huge large scale agricultural projects. These projects either require huge GRP pipes, HDPE, UPVC, PVC pipes and motor pumps as well.

Considering this Romina is working with high-tech companies based in different parts of the world. We import GRP pipes, Pumps, drip irrigation pipes, and fittings. We also import food items like spaghetti, tomato sauce, cheese, biscuits, chocolate, edible oil, adult and baby dippers etc.
